High School Department

Welcome to Liberty Academy's High School Department!

Liberty High School offers instructions to students in Grades 7 to 11 (Ages 12-18 years), and currently, the class sizes range between 10 and 22 students.

It is the pathway for academic excellence. It is known for creating academically strong, well rounded and spiritually enriched students. One of our special features is our use of Music Therapy to help the students to reach the desired level of development and performance, because it helps to build their self esteem, and confidence, helps to improve levels of concentration and reduces stress. The value added to our students is very significant in the education world, as all of our students are made to feel as though they can achieve anything that they set their minds to. Another important feature of our department is the excellent relationships that we develop with our most important stakeholders; the parents.

We operate in a stimulating environment, with highly qualified and competent teachers; most of whom have excellent pedagogical skills and knowledge of the content areas. Even our past students return to seek tutoring from them.

To date, the school has excelled in the Performing Arts, obtaining Gold and Silver medals for Drama in the Festival Competition in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Our athletes got a Silver medal in the 4 X100 (Gibson Relays) in 2013.

Our first cohort of graduating students, performed very well in the CSEC examinations ( 2010), attaining 100% passes in Information Technology, Integrated Science, Office Administration, Biology, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, Food and Nutrition and Principles of Business. Some of the other percentages were: 83% in Principles of Accounts, 75% Social Studies & 71% Geography, thus achieving an overall pass rate of 81%. Since then we have maintained an impressive pass rate for such examinations.

Liberty High School is indeed poised for greatness!
